General Rental Information
- Do I have to pay a deposit to rent equipment?
In most cases, a deposit isn’t required. However, payment for the rental is due upfront. - If I rent for one day, do I need to return the equipment the same day?
Rentals are on a 24-hour basis. A one-day rental means the equipment must be returned the next day at the same time it was picked up. - What is the price for a half day rental?
Our prices are already affordable, and the minimum rental is for one day. You are welcome to return the equipment earlier, and you can keep it for up to 24 hours. - Does the rental price include a trailer?
The rental cost does not include a trailer, but trailers are available to rent starting at $35 per day. - Am I able to extend my rental?
You can typically extend a rental unless the equipment is already reserved for another customer. It’s recommended to reserve for a longer period if you anticipate needing the equipment for more time, as refunds can be applied if you return it early. - What happens if I return the equipment late?
There is a 30-minute grace period for returns. After that, you’ll be charged $50 per hour, per piece of equipment, up to the daily rate, which extends the rental for another day.
Delivery and Pickup
- Is Delivery Service available?
Delivery is available to most addresses in Pacific NW Oregon and Southwest Washington. The round-trip delivery and pickup rate starts at $120, but the exact price depends on the address. You can check the approximate price here. - Do you deliver the same day?
Same-day delivery is an option in most cases, but reserving in advance is encouraged to guarantee equipment availability. - Do I need to be on site for delivery and pickup?
You’re recommended to be on-site for delivery to sign the rental agreement. If you cannot be there, you can provide an email address to receive the agreement for an e-signature. First-time renters, however, are required to be on-site for delivery. For pickup, you don’t need to be there as long as the equipment and key are accessible. - Will I be charged if I cancel my reservation?
If you cancel in advance, there is generally no charge. However, if the delivery driver is already en route, you will still be charged the delivery and pickup fee.
Equipment Usage and Maintenance
- Can I move the equipment from one job site to another?
You can move equipment from one job site to another, but you must notify the office beforehand. - Do I need to fuel the equipment with diesel or gas?
Equipment is provided with a full tank of fuel. You must top it off before returning it or a charge of $9 per gallon will be applied. The fuel type, such as diesel or gas, is usually labeled on the fuel tank. - Do I need to clean the equipment?
You should clean the equipment if it needs more than a quick rinse with a garden hose. If it requires more cleaning, you will be charged $70 per hour. - Do you offer damage insurance or waivers?
No, we do not offer damage insurance or waivers. Any damages are your responsibility to pay for. - What happens if the equipment breaks down while I have it on rent?
If the equipment breaks down, call or text us right away. Send us a few pictures so we can assess the situation. We will either have our mechanic repair it on-site or swap it with another unit if needed. Our technician will determine if the breakdown is chargeable to you or if it’s due to normal wear and tear.
Policies and Other Services
- What are your business hours?
We are open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday. - Can I return the equipment after hours or on Sundays?
Yes, you can. Please call the office to get instructions on how to return after 5 p.m. or on Sundays. - Do you have weekend deals?
We currenty do not offer specific weekend deals. Long-term rental specials are available, such as paying for four days and getting the fifth day free, or paying for seven days and getting two days free. These rates also apply to weekends. - Can I pay with cash or a check?
Yes, we accept cash and check payments. However, we still require a credit or debit card on file as a backup - Do you accept debit cards?
Yes, we accept debit and credit cards from major brands such as Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. - Do you rent other equipment besides excavators?
Yes, we do. We have several other types of equipment for rent, such as skid steers, mini loaders, lifts, compactors, and tree service tools. You can visit our website to browse our inventory. - Do you hire out operators for the equipment?
No, our staff is not available to operate the equipment. However, if you do not know how to operate the equipment, we can give you a quick tutorial. - Do I need to have a contractor’s licence to rent?
A contractor’s license is not required to rent. Contractors, homeowners, and anyone 18 years or older can rent.
