EZ Excavator Rentals is an excavator and heavy equipment rental company based in Oregon, USA, operating the website ezexcavatorrentals.com. This policy explains what information we collect from our customers, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to everyone who rents equipment from us or contacts us about doing so.

We keep this simple on purpose: we collect what we need to rent you equipment, and nothing more. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly when you rent equipment or ask about a rental:

• Contact information: your name, phone number, email address, and mailing address.
• Delivery information: the job site or delivery address where equipment is dropped off and picked up.
• Rental records: which equipment you rented, rental dates, signed rental agreements, and related notes about the order.
• Payment information: the details needed to charge you for a rental. Card payments are handled by our payment processor.
• Business information: if you rent as a company, the company name and the contact person for the account.

How we use your information

We use the information above only to run our rental business. Specifically, we use it to:

• Set up and manage your rental order, including scheduling delivery and pickup.
• Process payments and send receipts and invoices.
• Contact you about your active rental; for example, a delivery time, a change in schedule, or a question about the equipment.
• Send payment confirmations and delivery updates by text message, if you have opted in (see the Text Messaging section below).
• Keep accurate business records and meet our tax, accounting, and legal obligations.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or trade it.

Text Messaging (SMS)

Mobile information and SMS opt-in data will not be shared with, sold, or rented to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes at any time.

What messages we send

We send service text messages related to your active rental order. These are limited to payment confirmations and equipment delivery updates, including estimated arrival times (ETAs). We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.

How you opt in

You provide your mobile phone number and opt in to receive these text messages by signing a physical rental agreement in person at the time of rental. The consent language is printed on that agreement. We do not add phone numbers to our text messaging program any other way.

How to opt out or get help

You can reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time. Once you reply STOP, we will stop sending text messages to that number. You can reply HELP for help, or reach us using the contact information at the bottom of this page.

Opting out of text messages does not cancel your rental. We will still contact you about your order by phone or email when we need to.

Service providers we use

We use a small number of outside companies to operate the business. Each one receives only the information it needs to provide its service to us, is not permitted to use your information for its own purposes, and is required to protect it. These providers are:

• Payment processing: to accept and record card payments for rentals.
• Email delivery: to send invoices, receipts, and other rental-related email.
• Text message delivery: to deliver the payment confirmation and delivery update messages described above.

We may also share information when we are legally required to, such as in response to a valid legal request, or when it is necessary to protect our rights, our property, or the safety of others.

This sharing never includes your mobile information or SMS opt-in data for marketing or promotional purposes. Our text message delivery provider receives your phone number for the sole purpose of delivering the service messages you opted in to receive, and is contractually prohibited from using it for its own marketing or from passing it on. Consistent with the statement above, mobile information and SMS opt-in data are never shared with, sold, or rented to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes at any time.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, for any purpose.

How we protect your information

We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure. Our rental records are kept in a private business system that is not open to the public, and access is limited to the small number of people at EZ Excavator Rentals who need it to do their jobs. Information sent between your device and our systems is encrypted in transit, and account access is protected by individual sign-in credentials. Card payments are handled directly by our payment processor, so full card numbers are not stored on our systems.

No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and to only keep it as long as we need it for our business and recordkeeping obligations.

Your rights and choices

You are in control of your information with us. You can:

• Ask what we have: request a copy of the information we hold about you.
• Correct it: ask us to fix or update your contact, billing, or delivery details.
• Delete it: ask us to delete your information. We will do so unless we are required to keep certain records, such as completed rental agreements and payment records for tax and legal purposes.
• Stop text messages: reply STOP to any message, or ask us directly.
• Stop email: ask us to stop sending non-essential email.

To make any of these requests, contact us using the information below. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first so we do not release information to the wrong person.

Children

Our services are for adults renting equipment. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will post the revised policy on this page and update the date shown at the top. This page is our single, complete privacy policy. There is no separate policy for any part of our business.
